Consultation Day
On Sunday, 5 March, we hosted the kick-off event for the NGO CSW67 Forum. The program included high-level conversations, an expert panel on the CSW67 priority theme, information on Generation Equality, and feminist entertainment. See the full program with speakers’ information.
Also check out the graphic illustration that was created live during the Consultation Day! It outlines the Advocacy & Research Group’s five recommendations and some of the powerful quotes and feedback from speakers about the CSW67 priority theme.
Orientation Session
To support those who were new to the NGO CSW Forum or UN CSW spaces, we hosted an Orientation session on Monday. We gave an overview of the NGO CSW67 Forum, the UN CSW process, and how to make the most of your experience at the Forum. Download the accompanying slide presentation.
Advocacy Training
On Tuesday, we provided an Advocacy Training session to provide information about the different ways to advocate for your work and organization at the NGO CSW Forum and the UN CSW. The event included advocacy tips and tricks, info on how to engage in the CSW67 negotiations process, an overview of our Advocacy & Research Group, and an introduction to our NGO CSW67 Advocacy Toolkit. Download the accompanying slide presentation.
Conversation Circles
A place to raise issues and exchange ideas on different topics in a semi-structured space during CSW, Conversation Circles are one of the most popular aspects of the NGO CSW Forum!
Not all Conversation Circle sessions were recorded, but you can watch the available recordings below.
Regional Caucuses
Throughout the Forum, the Global NGO CSWs hosted Regional Caucuses. These sessions were informal, loosely-moderated spaces for participants to discuss and reflect upon regional advocacy and their region’s most relevant and pressing issues.
Not all Regional Caucuses were recorded, but you can watch the available recordings below.
Civil Society Briefings
Throughout the two weeks of the Forum, NGO CSW/NY and UN Women co-hosted three civil society briefings inside the UN Headquarters. Each briefing addressed the CSW67 outcome document negotiations process with speakers from Member States, UN Women, and civil society. We also took questions and interventions from the floor at each session.
The second session, the Youth Morning Briefing, specifically looked at the CSW67 process from a youth perspective where youth activists shared the CSW67 Global Youth and Adolescent Recommendations.
Watch the recordings of each session below.
Regional Consultation Days
Leading up to and during the Forum, some of the Global NGO CSWs hosted their own Consultation Day relating to the priority theme in their respective regions. Each Consultation Day spotlighted the CSW67 priority theme and how it relates to the work of each NGO CSW. Watch the available recordings of the Regional Consultation Days below.
