Breaking Silos & the Status Quo:
The Future of NGO CSW/NY and its Connection to Gender Processes at the UN

May 2023 Monthly Meeting

For our last Monthly Meeting of the season and of our current Executive Committee’s term, the June 2023 meeting focused on the future of NGO CSW/NY and how we plan to more effectively connect with different gender processes at the United Nations.

Participants heard updates about NGO CSW/NY’s work following CSW67 and participated in a discussion about the future of NGO CSW/NY led by consultants from Gender at Work.

We also addressed the recent review of the United Nations’ gender architecture and what it means for gender equality work at the UN. We wrapped up this meeting, and the 2021-2023 Executive Committee’s term, with a farewell from the current Chair, and a presentation from the new Co-Chairs about our plans for the future.
