The objective of NGO CSW/NY’s May Monthly Meeting was to unpack the CSW67 Agreed Conclusions and accountability measures through regional perspectives. This conversation built off of our April Monthly Meeting on the outcomes of CSW67. Facilitated by feminists from the regions and UN Women regional office representatives, we had breakout rooms for each region (Africa, Arab States/MENA, Asia Pacific, Europe & North America, and Latin America & the Caribbean).
The Secretariat of the Convention to Combat Desertification, UN Women, FAO and OHCHR are organizing a high-level even to mark Desertification and Drought Day 2023 on 16 June from 10am – 1pm in the GA hall and on https://webtv.un.org/. The theme is: “Her Land. Her Rights”.
