Travel.state.gov is the best place to get step-by-step instructions on applying for a visa for each specific embassy
For the Visa Interview:
The most important thing is to be able to explain why you’re going to the United States, what your plans are there, and what your plans are when you come back
You cannot rely on documents like visa invitation letters, although they are helpful
Burden of proof is on the applicant
Be specific to your own personal reasons for attending CSW
Sometimes additional administrative processing is necessary and timelines are on a case-by-case basis
To better prepare you for CSW64, our Orientation Committee has created a new set of videos to be released every Friday until January. You will find the transcripts for each video in the YouTube dialogue box.
