Message from the NGO CSW/NY Chair
We are in unprecedented times while we all deal with COVID-19. We hope this April 2020 newsletter finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy. As feminists and women’s rights activists we also know the burden is usually on us to push for a better world for all. This is exactly why we at NGO CSW/NY have not slowed down since the cancellation of our CSW64 Forum. As heartbroken as we were, we see this as an opportunity to take a deep breath, assess the situation we are in and then gather our sisterhood and the men who stand up for equal rights and find new ways of gathering, claiming our space and advocating for gender equality. In light of the COVID-19 crisis, the Generation Equality Forum will be postponed until the first half of 2021. Read the full statement in English, Spanish and French here.

In this series of four sessions, we will renew ourselves as leaders on the frontlines of transformation for gender equality. We will explore and learn practices to create interconnected leadership that aligns self, community and movements to create sustainable change. Sessions will build on one another and give us the opportunity to explore how we can co-create a new paradigm based on care and well-being for all people and the planet. The series is facilitated by Mallika Dutt.
