Save the Date: June Monthly Meeting
Join us for our June Monthly Meeting!
During our last monthly meeting of the season, we’ll examine the gender advocacy thread that runs from Summit of the Future (SotF) to B+30 (the 69th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women and review and appraisal of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action) and how these processes interact with one another. In order to maintain the focus on gender across UN processes and cross-cutting mechanisms, this dialogue will center on how to ensure that these mechanisms are interdependent and mutually reinforcing through gender advocacy.
We encourage all of our members to join us for a Members’ Meeting, which will be held following the conversation on SotF and B+30, where we will share information about NGO CSW/NY’s financial overview of the last year. [Please let me know any other details about this portion to include! – RG]
Date: Tuesday, 18 June 2024 Time: 11 am – 1 pm EST Location: Zoom
Watch the recording of our May Monthly Meeting, Part 1 of a two-part series, where we began with a discussion on the NGO CSW/NY Survey on CSW Revitalization conducted in January and February of 2024 followed by reports on gender equality at the UN Civil Society Conference in Nairobi from NGO CSW/NY Co-Chair & participants. We then followed the gender equality thread from the UN CSC to the Summit of the Future, where we heard about how civil society can engage to ensure robust and meaningful commitments on gender equality in the Pact for the Future.
