November Monthly Meeting

Across global gender equality movements, men’s engagement has often been framed as supportive rather than transformative. Yet realizing the commitments of the Beijing Platform for Action, CEDAW, and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development requires that men and boys act as co-agents of systemic change—challenging patriarchal norms, redistributing power and care, and advocating for institutional accountability. This discussion will explore how male allyship can evolve from performative solidarity to active partnership rooted in accountability, shared leadership, and structural reform. Participants will share evidence-based approaches and lessons from community, policy, and multilateral contexts on mobilizing men as allies and advocates for gender justice.
